Tit for Tat

I know I said it on the tape, but I can’t say enough how touched I was to have each of you share your stories with me…I kept seeing more comments and saying to myself "really?". So Thanks again for being so willing to open up and share:)

I figured it was probably a good idea if I shared my own moving on story…

Two years ago I started a blog, not knowing what I was going to write about each day…
My first post YOU CAN FIND HERE…
was a very passionate one…I had just moved to Indiana and I had a lot on my mind. That day changed a lot for me…I began writing again, which had been on pause for a couple of years…and slowly I have found myself….again.

Fast forward til now….that post was two years ago this month and I have moved on beyond what I knew I was capable of. I have had my own new struggles since that post, but I am looking at the world with rose colored 80s raybans on now:) I am so happy to know who and what I love. To be accepted and loved for the good and the bad. I am lucky to share this blog world with you all.

In honor of my old blog…
I’ve been wanting to make a book of my favorite blog posts for a
while…and now that I have moved over here,
I miss my old
blog…like a long lost friend:(…I know its seems redundant to print
out the posts and i maybe the only one who would but i get so paranoid
blogger will delete my blog accidentally:) So I printed out my favorite
posts and added a little paint to each page. Now I can sit and read
them anytime…and my kids will be able to keep them when Im too old to read.. .lol

  1. I love, love, love that little book.
    You are brilliant!

  2. My hubby told me he was going to bind my blog posts into a book a while back so when I was old and computers were of the past and we just would blink and the internet would come up in our brains, I would have mine in print. hahahahaa! Cute he is huh?
GREAT IDEA to print them out!

  3. I went back and read your first post. I wasn’t in your shoes – so I don’t KNOW but I can relate. I think a lot of Mom’s loose theirselves when they add wife, then mother to their “identity resume”. I’ve been thinking about the SISiversary trip and in the back of my mind I’m wondering how I will adjust to being simply ME and not ME-while-dealing-with-kids or ME-AND-whatever. Anyway, I’m glad you’ve found your way. God Bless!

  4. I think that it’s a wonderful idea to print out all your posts. You’re right- it would be a tragedy to lose them somehow!
I’ve found that I’m not much of an introspective person… and my posts probably aren’t as personal as they could be. But STILL, writing in my blog each week (however many days that might be) helps me have some kind of direction in my life- or just helps me understand, like you said, who I am. So I won’t ever get lost. And that’s why I think it was important to print your posts.
Whew this is going to just ramble on so I’m done. 😉

  5. brilliant idea Kim! I’ve thought of getting a book printed of a years worth of blog posts before…. but a scrapped album is so much more personal. great job!

  6. Love you.
    Love seeing you live.

  7. Oh so fantastic!!
I want to print off mine but seeing as its got 3 years worth, at least a post for each day, I don’t think our printer would cope lol
So glad that I’ve ‘met’ you and grateful that you allow others to see a little of your life. Thank you for sharing your journey 🙂

  11. Wow! Your first post was amazing! I think mine said “so yeah, I’m blogging.” lol
I ended up just putting two years worth of my blog posts into a blurb.com book. Like a printed journal. It was hard work to get it to look how I wanted it, but I think it’s ok. But the good thing is that I have a hard copy of it. Your idea is lots better artistically, but I wanted ALL of my posts saved.
Then after I got the book in the mail, I deleted all my old posts. Didn’t need them anymore. That was kind of refreshing. And there was some stuff on there I didn’t feel like having my family read. Surprisingly, it’s easier to tell strangers the dirty little secrets than it is my own family. Not all my family, some of my sisters know.
So anyway, that sounds cryptic and oh how I hate cryptic! lol
I want to know more about that page you did though, in this post. It’s cryptic. And I hate cryptic. lol
Even though I just found you and your blog, so far loving your honesty and your ideas. Can’t wait to see more!
